Michele Patterson

Professor @ Vancouver Island University

    Michele is a Professor in Vancouver Island University’s Geography Department. She is also a PhD Candidate in Geography at the University of Victoria. Her dissertation is an exploration of social-cultural values along the BC to California farmed salmon value chain. Before beginning an academic career in 2012, Michele spent 10 years with World Wildlife Fund Canada, concluding her time there as Acting Vice President, WWF-Pacific Region. She has been involved in resource management, community economic development and conservation in British Columbia for over 25 years.
